VISA APPLICATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
Italy is a member state of the European Union and a member of the Schengen Area. All international visitors from non-EU countries must present a valid passport when entering and may be required to have a valid Visa.

See here the official Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation website for information dedicated to foreigners intending to come to Italy. A guided procedure will help you decide if you need to apply for a visa based on your nationality, country of residence, reasons for your visit and length of stay.

If you need a visa, we recommend applying for a Schengen Visa at the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country at least two months before the intended travel date to Italy.
